ABAKUS - RUDOLFINUM

BRIEF:

The task was to design a new stand for the foyer of the Rudolfinum Gallery for the Abakus Foundation, replacing the existing object.

CONCEPT:

After studying the philosophy and visual identity of the new Abakus Foundation concept, the stand is designed as a golden circular mirror reflecting the grand interior of the Rudolfinum while symbolising the final dot of an abacus. The mirror is mounted on a lightweight blue metal structure made of rough rebar, contrasting with the precision and refinement of the golden mirrored surface.
