ROZA’S ROOM
BRIEF:
The aim of the design was to create a children’s room for Róza that would accompany her throughout childhood and offer space not only for everyday play but also for spending time with friends. The brief included the design of a bunk bed and built-in wardrobes with sufficient storage capacity.
CONCEPT:
As the interior is part of an already completed new apartment, the design focuses primarily on custom-made furniture, which gives the room a clear structure and a distinctive character.
The main feature of the room is a two-level bunk bed in a soft mint shade, complemented by plywood steps. The lower part of the bunk bed is designed as a small hideaway with a curtain, where Róza can retreat and play. The structure includes a round window with the option to close it, as well as a niche beneath the steps used for storing books and small items. This niche is equipped with an integrated power socket and subtle lighting. The upper level of the bunk bed is currently intended for play and can later serve as a full sleeping area.
Another prominent element of the interior is a set of white built-in wardrobes combining a hanging rail and open shelving, functioning both as a bookcase and as storage for toy baskets. Integrated into the composition is a mobile toy house with a small window, encouraging imagination and supporting different types of play. Both the toy house and the steps are made of stained, lacquered plywood, adding warmth and a natural feel to the interior.
The entire room is conceived as a playful, safe, and flexible space that can naturally evolve as Róza grows.
